Buyer Verification

To ensure that each transaction is processed as smoothly and efficiently as possible v4Jam verifies every Buyer we work with.

When you are selling a house it’s important to be sure that you can be confident in the buyer’s capacity to purchase the house. This includes their having the funds required and their ability to take ownership of the house.

This same rationale applies to selling IPv4 address space. So v4Jam will check that:

  • the buyer has sufficient funds required for the purchase of the range,

  • the funds are ready to transfer into Escrow when they sign the deal,

  • the buyer has pre-approval to purchase the IPv4. If the buyer has pre-approval for the size block you’re selling, then, the RIR will be able to quickly approve the transfer.

Buyer verification includes:

  • Repeat business with our Buyers means confidence to consider another deal,

  • Work with Buyer Brokers requires our checking of the end customer

  • Run business checks on Buyers when necessary to overcome any uncertainties

  • Buyers must have RIR Pre-approval

  • Buyers must have an Escrow.com account or be able to transfer funds to Escrow.com ahead of the transaction.

The pre-approval process: For an RIR to approve a buyer to receive an IPv4 address block, the Buyer must prove to their RIR that they have need of the block - when they prove their need of the address space they will get pre-approval for it.

In today’s market of international transfers we also need to consider any trade restrictions and anti-money laundering laws of each country/economy involved in a deal. This is why v4Jam uses Escrow.com. Read more about this aspect in our Escrow.com FAQ (link this to FAQ).
